I learning here, the area I'm trying to improve is heavy soil, tiled, but is subject to occasional short time flooding. based on responses, maybe tillage radish isn't the way to go, what I'm trying to do is establish some deep rooted plants, the plot is in perfect surface conditions at the moment. Didn't realize radishes were a late planted crop, any other ideas? TIA.
