Insurance professor put it like this............to a bunch of us grad students........

He asked......what is more important in your opinions---- life ins, or disability ins?

Majority said........ life ins.

He said......... how many of you are married to really attractive females?

Everyone of course raised their hand.

He said.......... if you croak, how long do you think it will take for her to remarry, given that she is attractive, and also has a dowry from your death?   

Everyone............ not long.

He said.........now, what do you think her family situation will be, with a couple of small kids, and you lying in the bedroom hooked to an oxygen machine due to total disability.......and her having to take care of you or hiring a full time babysitter, as compared to being able to be gainfully employed as a minimum wage receptionist?

Now, said he..........answer again which is more important---- life or disability insurance?

(Of course.........age and stage in life has a lot to do with it.)
