We do lots of gardening, canning, etc. around here. Truth be told, if you only wanted to judge it by the dollar sign I'd be better off to buy 69 cent cans of green beans at the grocery store and spend that time earning minimum wage at the gas station or Burger King instead. Giving up that homegrown stuff for those wages would NOT improve the quality of my life, though. |
