Estate Planning-----My thoughts on estate planning are these. If you, whether it be a single person or a couple, have put your lifetime in to working to accumulate the assets that you have, you should put the effort out to instruct the world who you want to be the benificiaries of your labor.
If you choose not to make those decisions a court of law and lawyers will make them for you. It won't be cheap either.
Do your estate planning!!!
I have to say that I agree. That said, obviously there are MANY who do not. I know of one person I mentioned this to and he said..." what do I care? I'll be dead". He will choose to let it be paid to the attorneys and relatives he cared nothing about instead of making some sort of simple will. I see it all the time. They can do what they want, even if that is nothing, it's their money. |
