| Have been to Yellowstone a couple of times, one of our better vacations. I would suggest 2 to 3 days in the park, one day at Cody and one day for the Tetons at a minimum. Coming from SW MO going to take a couple days each way traveling. Have stayed both inside the park and out. Staying outside of the park can burn a lot of time getting in and out. The best time to see the park is from daylight to noon before all the other tourist are out. Will get crowded and frustrating from noon on. That is a good time to do some back country hiking. However you do it will be a great time and a memorable vacation.
