Western Iowa | I agree, they are slower growing, really have to try to burn them to get them to finish.
They also are the most friendly, the most troublesome, and the most adapt at tearing up stuff I have ever seen. They are also a little frail when very young.
I have feed out a few over the years as there is a dairy close with calves they don't want much money to buy. With the disposition of jerseys it has been good for the kids and is very very good meat if feed decent. I believe the good meat is partial due to the disposition. The ones I have had are calm as a cucumber going to the locker. | |
