It's possible. But I thought I read $2k per season. Would take 3 to get done and I don't have $6k total in owned bulls here. Have to remember that half of these cows will sell this summer and I will keep 8 heifers. Add to that a 450# calf brings same $ as 600# calf here usually. I don't really have a status quo type program here. If I do build into one it will be a couple more years.

The calves are all October calves. The second to last is actually a better calf than the last. Doesnt look that way in pics though. I can run until May 1 on ryegrass, and keep them on the cow until August 1 on grass. Gives me a lot of time to evaluate them.

I'm thinking I have to replace the brangus, and want to replace the Charolais. I could sell the Charolais and 3 calves and would still not have enough for a used 3 year old "Jorgensen" bull at the prices I got here recently.
