That system looks interesting! Not bad for early Feb in upstate NY? Your ground water is probably around 50 degrees F like ours so it has saved you a lot of energy/$$ getting the water up to 80 degrees. I have a loop in my geothermal heat system that preheats my household hot water to about 90 degrees from the well's 52 degrees. It saves a lot of energy and money that the electric hot water heater does not need to produce to get to the 120 degrees of the hot water tap. Have you tried any PV solar/net metering? So many sheds and barns have a nice south facing roof that would be very economical (=good ROI) to put up some panels. Thanks for the pic. |
