...there are a few places in the U.S. you can get a variation of a meat pie. In the U.P. of Michigan...the "Yoopers" make what they call "Pasties" (Go ahead and google it, I'm too lazy to include a link!). I'm not sure if they're anything like an English Pastie or not...but a lot of people like 'em.
