Subject: RE: Set up to do earlage

Beresford, SD
Many posters on here were on the money. Second year doing my own earlage this fall. Best feed ever. Enough energy with roughage. Big bang per acre. Silage is as well but a touch light on energy for my program, earlage fills the gap. Earlage, silage, haylage, dry hay. All home raised. I'm done writting checks for feed other than QLF. Get set up to do it yourself. Not familiar with your cutter. But years (like 30 years) ago dad set up his hesston 2000-150 to grind earlage. Adapter and 2 row wide jd head, took 30 minutes too fill the dump wagon. Slow going. Still have adapter sitting in shed? Cheap, like scrap iron price.
