Thanks for the link. Always good to review some "earth-shaking" history.

I think you've been to a major tractor mfg lately. Did you see any engineers wearing white shirts & ties? I wonder what happened to those?




I started teaching school during that era, wore a suit, starched white shirt, and tie every day.  I had never dressed up like that in the past, but after a few years it became comfortable.  Before my Wife retired from teaching, the school was buying "booster" t-shirts for all teachers and required them to wear that on Friday.  Quite a change in fashion in 30 some years, and not for the better. 

Point is, white shirt and tie were the minimum standard during the development of the D-21.  Always liked how that tractor looked and sat, but never owned one.
