I started teaching school during that era, wore a suit, starched white shirt, and tie every day. I had never dressed up like that in the past, but after a few years it became comfortable. Before my Wife retired from teaching, the school was buying "booster" t-shirts for all teachers and required them to wear that on Friday. Quite a change in fashion in 30 some years, and not for the better.
Point is, white shirt and tie were the minimum standard during the development of the D-21. Always liked how that tractor looked and sat, but never owned one. |
