Southern IL | I planted some 2 years ago 25 acres. Due to wet weather, I didnt wanna cut ruts so I finished on new years day. It made in the 170s. Some of the tassels had broken over but the only down corn was due to critters. Another cps hybrid made 198. But it was better ground and better drained. The field I planted the rural king was odd shaped. And borders a woods. Not fair to compare. Good corn in our area is 160. We had a great year in 2014. Try a little 40 acres wont hurt | |
