Subject: Syngenta lawsuit, worth the time?

Let me start by saying , I was not going to partake in the lawsuit. After talking to friends and neighbors decided why not. After receiving the info from attorneys and looking through it I have Some rseervations. 1. They are asking for my SS#. Why would they need that now? 2. They need seed invoices, grain elevator yr end summaries, crop insurance production summaries and fsa form 578, all for yrs 2011-2015. I understand why they need production in bushels verification. But why do they double up and ask for crop insurance too? Seed corn receipts and 578's have nothing to do with bushels as far as I can see. Feels like they are snooping for info. I understand that I have to provide something as proof.
Not looking to be criticized for signing up, at this point all I've done is just that. What do the Ag Talkers think? Am I making this out to be more than it is? TIA
