Subject: RE: Fall panicum

Lowcountry SC
Beans, corn, pasture, fallow, pine trees.....Tried milo for 2 years in some new fields that were heavily infested with panicum. Thought 20oz Dual + 1qt ATZ pre, 1qt ATZ post and a follow up pass with the hooded sprayer would be sufficient, wrong, dead wrong. Hoping 2 years of beans, fall spraying, and cover crops will increase my chances next time around with milo. Even with beans I had to spray for panicum 3 times post after pre's gave out. Tried 30" so I could sidedress with knife rig and use hooded sprayer. Maybe drilling will work a little better, but from everything I've read and people I've talked to the general consensus is don't plant milo anywhere panicum is a problem.
