Subject: RE: Cleaning out the pantry

Western Oregon
We can over 2000 jars a year, more pints now that there are just the 2 of us. Course some favorites still goes to the 2 adult kids too. We rotate before canning in the fall, old to the front when stocked. Store purchases once or twice a year. Might stop in when in town for a couple of things but we don't buy much. Some things are 3 years old sometimes from a real good season, we hate anything to go to waste. We strtch the seasons with a greenhouse, hoops and we eat in season, mostly, canned to fill in and preserve off season. We have a fruit cellar, spring house along with the pantry. Been known to open a few old jars, for the chickens....James
