I have suffered from nightmares since college. Mine seem to be stress related, the worse things are at work, home etc. the worse the nightmares are. I have had some VERY vivid ones over the years, bad enough I couldn't shake them for a couple of days. One time I caught my wife cheating on me (in the dream) I could hardly speak to her for two days because it felt SO real.
