| I am happy with my Sony, I'll be the odd man out so far. I decided against the Samsung because I didn't like the idea of a smart TV recording what was going on in the room and broadcasting it over the internet. The Smart Samsung's do that. It's for the voice command feature. No, I don't wear a tin foil hat, but I just didn't think it was a good idea.
When I researched a year ago for mine, I was leaning towards a Samsung also, but was swayed against it more for the negative reviews than the above mentioned reason. I searched on Amazon and read the reviews there. Lots of reviews on lots of different TV's. A lot of people were happy, but had both new corporate service and later repair service issues.
FIL has a 3 year old LG, I believe in his living room with vertical lines.
My first 27" TV finally gave up the ghost after 25 years. It's unfortunate some TV's cant last half that long. | |
