central - east central Minnesota - | highwood - 1/22/2016 19:59 Ok I want to buy a new TV. Where do I start? So many choices. LED, 3D, Plasma ,Smart?? All these options have me confused. All I want is a nice reliable big screen tv. I now have a 42 inch and a 50 inch but would maybe like a 55 or 60 inch. My older TV's are developing vertical lines on them. Not sure yet if this new tv will be put on main floor(sunny room) or basement. Any brands better then others?? Best Buy has a 60" Samsung LED Smart TV on sale for $1000 didn't think that was too bad. Thanks for your help. If you research a bit . . . . most of the info will say the 3D and Curve screens are no more then a gimmick to get more of your money. They do nothing for picture quality or entertainment value. So, I'd suggest saving dollars there or apply those dollars to a larger TV. At least consider the newer 4K UHD TV's. Samsung has the latest newest models out, and the price reflects them. Now is the best time for savings on last season's technology in TV's. I would strongly suggest a 60 or 65 in if your room will accommodate it. These new TV's should last 5yrs trouble free, or longer. If you get one that gives problems in the first 2yrs, it likely was miss handled from Mfger to home (shipping, forklifted, dropped, etc). Samsumg, Viso, LG . . . my choices in that order . . . .. . Good luck On a sidenote: I didn't know Best Buy was in Canada - they are locally headquarter in Mpls Mn (act Bloomington Mn). |
