Subject: Halex gt

Hello first of all I am located in southern Wi. My chemical supplier is telling me I can get away with 3 pints an acre of Halex gt alone. No atrazine or anything just the Halex gt post emerge. I do not do a pre emerge or anything in the fall besides fall tillage. Is this good enough? Will this work? I would be happy if he was right. Thankyou

Some guys are getting away with just one
pass of Halex GT, but IMO a good preemerge is necessary
LEXAR, Harness Xtra.

That is a bit extreme isn't it? i mean Lexar is really expensive. If i used Lexar as a Pre I would hope to not have to spray halex right?? Couldn't he just used some atrazine or dual and atrazine then spray his Halex GT.

I'm just saying it works, that's all. We value really clean fields.
I hope everyone values really clean fields.
Yes maybe it is a little expensive, but how many bushel to the
acre can u afford to lose to weeds??

I'm not saying I know everything but that's the way I look at it.

3 pts on naked acres is not nearly enough.   you might get by if you add 8 oz of glyph, and a half pound of atrazine.   but then what's the point.

Mid-Michigan
I use a PD of atz with it. Spray when I get a good flush of weeds. Been keeping my fields clean.

The guys I know spraying 3pts are using a pre emerge. For one pass I would do the 3.6 pts possibly with Atz.

Midas well just buy Lumax Ez. I used Halex gt before 1 pas half lb atrazine 1qt glposate smoked stuff. Use all the correct adjuvants and good water read the label I believe it's 3.6 pints don't cut those rates. Use correct nozzles calls for turbo tee jets. Will be with your time if you follow the label exactly

I wouldn't go lower than 3.6pt. That is how we get weed resistance. What will it save, a couple bucks an acre?

If only one passing it I'd go with the full rate of 4pt.
