Subject: RE: Corn crib questions

Central PA
I feed only ear corn, use Belin wire cribs. They are cheap since most people quit using them. Mine are 3 foot off the ground, and the floor is slanted to the front and back. When they are off the ground, they don't collect as much snow, and I can get my grinder mixer auger under the opening. Mine will keep 3 years before I get any rotten corn on the bottom. They don't put enough roof on them to keep much rain water out.
