Illinois | I have a 10 year old PC with Windows XP, and my primary uses are Quickbooks and Ag Leader SMS software, in addition to simple file storage. After getting concerned with the old PC crashing, I upgraded to a Mac and intend to use their Parallels program to run Windows on the Mac. I purchased and installed Windows 7 on the Mac and also successfully transferred my old PC to the Mac using Parallels. My big issue is that Quickbooks and SMS will no longer update with the XP operating system, so I need to upgrade.
Right now the transferred PC is still in XP on the Mac. All the information I have on directly updating to 7 on the Mac involves buying a 7 CD versus utilizing the online download I purchased. I suppose I could update to 7 or newer on my old PC then transfer it again as another option.
I am not overly computer literate and need help figuring out what to do. | |
