Subject: The Bigger Picture

Buxton ND
Which we hear very little about is the Amazon River, makes the Mississippi look like a coulee (creek) Ports are being built, move the beans north instead of south, out the mouth of the amazon then thru the Panama Canal . The canal IS being expanded the handle the big big boy ships. Load ships at the mouth of the Amazon send them north by northwest thru the canal then unto China. Yeah Brazil has been slowish making shipping of beans to port cheaper, there HAS been changes already cutting shipping cost to port by .50 in the last 2 years.

When was the last time we the USA made major improvements to the Mississippi ?
Are our locks and dams in good shape ? Or need of work ?
Yeah Brazil to slow but when their done they will have the biggest and the best ports to ship beans to China all of which will decrease the cost of beans on China door step.

This issue was touched on maybe 2 weeks back but did not get alot of attention from NAT. Yeah the most don't wanna hear this,,,,, its the reality of being a world market and this US Dollar deal is really getting on my blanking nerves.
