NW IL, Mercer County | I have seen fields with visual potassium deficiency and 200lb/ac soil test values. Maybe these fields are completely different than ones you are referencing but they lost a lot of yield that year. I try to follow University of IL soil test values and their soil test minmum for K is 300 lbs/ac. I apply up to 500 lbs of 0-0-62 depending on soil test but I also spread for 2 crops, so really Im only putting 250 lbs/crop.
