SW KS, near Dodge City | Right, I'm not saying there's not a lot of cash out there... But Coup said for quite a while that ground wouldn't come down and that the high levels were supportable by the lack of other returns, operations that didn't let operating budgets balloon etc...
So when people start talking $9K ground, well, that's still a lot of money and not a bad floor, but it sure seems to me like about at least a 25% drop from a guesstimate of $12K high. Honestly, the guy that lost that $3K/acre... Well, I don't think there was any dryland out here that even sold for that much at the peak. Close to it, and maybe just a shade over it, but veeeeery few sales even topped 2500 on dryland. | |
