I think it depends on water placement. Short answer, yes. Expensive answer, put out more waterers.

I have cattle up in metcalfe co., have same problem as well. Have tried drilling grass in thick by water source but not much difference. Would be interesting to see a type of grass they didn't like as much put right by the water with more fescue/och grass/clover away from water.
