I remember when I got my first batch of chickens. I thought what have I done. This was a new lifestyle from livestock and row cropping. After a few batches it was just business as normal.
Why are the turkeys already half-grown?? Turkey growers around here have a brooding house built in the middle of two finishing houses. When the turkeys are a certain age they are moved from the brooding house into the two finishing houses. Then they get the brooding house all set up and get baby turkeys back in the brooding house. This way they have turkeys in the brooding house and the finishing houses also. Always got some turkeys on the farm.
