| I am not argueing whether or not to trade options, whether or not they are a good investment.
But I have never understood the notion most expire worthless. How do you figure? There will likely not be open interest in valuable options at expiration, regardless of circumstance, because people will sell them b4. Of course you will on average lose the time premium. But that's not what you're saying. You're saying expire worthless.
Guess I argue if you buy an at the money option, and let it expire, there's half a chance for "worthless". | |
