On small bins they use to say as a rule of thumb 1hp per 5000 bu.on my old smaller bins on 5000 bu bin it has a1 hp on another bin that's 7000bu it has a 4.4hp. I got better corn out of the 5000bu bin. Not sure what's on my 13 ring 40,000 bu bin I think it's s 10 maybe a 15 .
