Subject: RE: Using the farm to avoid family?

NE SD
We hosted Thanksgiving today for about 20 family members. Kids, grandkids, one of my brothers and his family and another of my brothers with his new girlfriend. My husband gets along well with my family but sometimes the chaos gets to be too much and he does disappear to the shop after a meal---and I don't blame him! No one had heard from my brother as to his plans to attend (he lives 2 hours away) so we were slightly surprised when he and the new GF showed up. Quite the experience for our family as we soon discovered the new GF....ummmm.....used to be a guy. She/he is transgender--a whole new experience for us totally back woods, naïve to the ways of the world rednecks!!!! By mid afternoon I joined him in the shop as it felt quite awkward in the house!!
