Chanute, KS. | Deere has had a plan in place to look like Caterpillar for 25 years. Look at southeast Kansas and you can see they reached that store spacing about 5 years ago. In the last 40 years have went from 12+ dealers/store in a 9 county area to 3 stores spaced 60 to 70 miles apart. Just look around the area your in and if the stores are closer than 50 to 70 miles apart you will be losing stores in the future. There are less farmers and machinery to sell and service. This means that less need for stores. | |
