Subject: RE: Trimble ez steer

Floyd County, Iowa
I'm using EZ Guide 250, and EZ Steer on a Deere 8100. I use it for spring and fall tillage mostly. I use only the lightbar when spraying corn and beans post-emerge. If I spray chemicals that I have to incorporate pre-plant, I use the steer.
I also use the steering when planting, but I use markers as well. I just turn on the steering for point rows or when I want to turn around and watch something. Not perfect for planting, but I'm satisfied. Most of the problems I have are operator error (me).
Does require some nudging once in awhile, but I can live with it, but the price was in my budget.
For what you say you want to do, it will work fine.
Depends on what you want to spend. 250 and steer on WAAS are entry level now.
my 2 cents
