get a good temp gauge and check it with your settings. I usually haven't ever seen them go to cremate its the other direction. Wifes at 350 was actually 300 so it got a new controller . The newer style digital ones seem to cost as much as the stove did so lots of times its cheaper to pitch it and buy new or hand it down to some one else whose burners are dying
