I have been using a Mac since 2011. I run VMWare fusion and Windows 7. On the Windows side I use quickbooks, quicken, some Trimble and GIS software. I do everything else on the Mac side including Microsoft office. It has worked flawlessly and I just recently upgraded to El Capitan and the latest version of fusion. I like Windows 7 and am holding on to it as long as I can.
