NE Kansas | Ajdressm's post below about the low cost grade control and QGIS motivated me to start working on trying to use QGIS to layout a route for my Smartsteer MD to follow. The Smartsteer is running off a Cruizer II.
I'm having trouble with getting the Kansas Lidar data into QGIS, probably because I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I'm going to try to watch some youtube videos this weekend on how to do that.
I would like to be able to load up a map from my computer on a thumb drive, plug it into the Cruizer and have it follow a predetermined path. Is this something that can be done? Is QGIS the right software to do it?
