You can oversimplify and criticize all you want, but until you deal with a child like this you have no idea. These children just don't rationalize the way others do and you cannot parent them in the same manner. It is a constant struggle for "control" and they can sniff out weakness in a heartbeat. I firmly believe that they view themselves as equals to all adults and authority figures.
