I read your post to my wife who worked with children for 40 years and is educated in child behavior. She said it sounds like autism when a child has to have everything in its perfect place. Can he look you straight in the face or does he turn away whenever you look him in the face. If he turns away that could be a sign of autism. She started rattling off a whole bunch of different signs but I lost it in the shuffle.
