With our sons the oldest has always been a little stubborn but nothing too terrible. When it came to the potty training issue the oldest would go in streaks of doing really well and not doing it at all but finally grasped the concept for good when his younger brother did. My oldest is 13 now and sometimes it's a challenge to get him to do what he is supposed to but I'm still bigger than he is
I now sympathize with parents of "difficult" children
