You'll be fine with a 3 year rotation. Spend the money that you would have on traits for a good fertility program, lime/gypsum, cover crop seed, and tile.
Of course if you don't buy traits it's your fault all the African kids are starving. So just buy the traits, that way you can sleep at night and all the world's problems will be solved.
