I would definitely focus on narrow rows, 15" or drilled, and planting early. I think a fungicide with insecticide application would definitely pay. Last year Quilt went off patent and there was generic (Azoxy EW) available for $110 a gallon. So at 10 oz. you are at only $8/acre. Can put insecticide with it for only about $3/acre. Takes less then 1.5 bu/acre to cover both chemicals.
