se montana | As per my annual report of preg testing, today we did 2 and 3 yr old cows as well as yrlg heifers. Twas a tough spring and summer up here to say the least, but I am happy to say the young cows tested only 4.5% open on a 60 day exposure period open. That is above my average on that bunch by quite a bit.
Yearling heifers were more like 20% on a 50 day period. That is higher than most would call acceptable, but that is my 20 year average on that particular bunch, so we are pleased with todays results to say the least.
Will be doing mature cow herd Friday, hoping for the best. They have failed miserably on dry years in the past!
I'll check back.
