SWIN | My thoughts are you need to set a static IP on the computer so there can be connectivity. {Both devices are DHCP clients, The router is the server. Clients need to receive and address; Servers supply these addresses.} I would suggest 192.168.1.5; subnet 255.255.255.0; default gateway 192.168.1.1 . This should be enough for you to establish a working connection. To do so, go to your network connection device properties and change from "obtain an address automatically" to "use the following ip address". How you get to here depends on your operating system. Remember how you get there though, because after you have the dryer set up, you need to change it all back to how it was before. *you may already have a static ip set from your isp, if so, note that info before changing it* Good luck |
