no, not really. but I was awful concerned.  now jdplowboy has mentioned something about a out of whack c/n ratio.   so I got a strip trial of a 100lbs acre ammonium sulfate to see if there will be any difference, visually at this time there is no difference.   other than that I do know that the root systems between the two practices had big differences, with the conventional system having larger root mass earlier on.   so maybe I kinda do know, but am looking for a cause.
