Subject: Is magnesium a yield limiting factor in corn and soybeans?



From my weekly tissue tests I have consistently had a major magnesium deficiency all year.

However, my soils are hilly silty clay soils and I've been told that you don't really want to add magnesium to a heavy clay soil because it will just make it tighter. Which will make it more prone to erosion, crusting, and add "stickiness" to already sticky clay.
