Subject: what is the good and bad of a ----------

Van Wert co. NW Ohio
I farm in nw ohio in fairly heavy lake bed soils. Strip-till for corn and no-till beans to try to keep compaction to a minimum. After this horrible wet year and all the damage I have done on ends and waterholes I am thinking I need some type of deep tillage tool to root up ends and other badly abused spots. Have found an M+W 1465 earthmaster for what I think is a good price. It is a 5 shank unit and I plan to pull it with a 300 horse FWA tractor. What do you people think of this tool, will it hold up to this type of work and what kind of job will it do? Would a 7 shank be too much for this situation? TIA for your opinions.
