Eastern Nebraska | You absolutely should calibrate it moving it to the combine. What you are doing is telling the receiver what level should be. Make sure you do the calibration on the most level ground as possible as well. It helps greatly. Also, where did you put that offset in? On the machine page? If so you should change it back to 0. Because it fixed it temporarily it may not work in the next field. The receiver is not physically sitting 22 inches from the center of the tractor.
