| BIG rain event here in central Iowa today. 4.4 - 6+ inched on all my fields today. Heard Dayton IA received 9". Torrential downpours dropped belt height beans down to about a foot, and some corn blown over. The Boone and Des Moines Rivers went from normal levels yesterday to over flood stage by noon. Thousands of acres of standing water. Cars having a hard time getting around with water crossing the secondary roads. I knew everything around here looked too good....... | |
