In your situation, you will have to abandon that ripper you are hooked onto due to operator safety issues and environmental concerns. Maybe notill won't work in your area but that is the only thing you can do. We deal with a gas line put in in the 50s. They use to dig it down when it became a problem but now they prefer not to expose their line to digging.
