After reading the explanation for why CHS canceled its plan to build a fertilizer plant in ND, I agree that coops should spin off their investments in non-coop companies. Their purchase of part ownership in CF Industries just to purchase fertilizers at market price smells an awful lot like the collusive behavior by the companies in the lysine industry.
