Casey Iowa | Talked to nice gentleman whom we both have a known acquaintance.....so no reason to lie to each other.....they both have farmland that they farm south and south east of K.C. 40-60 miles I would estimate......both say each county will be 20 bushel or so maybe over county averages this year......this does not mean every county in MO will be great, but the whole state is not train wreck either.....NE and NW parts of state are worse.....but I also know people in NW MO thst say there will be plenty of good corn that was planted early.....and the beans may surprise many "IF" there is an Indian Summer with a late frost.
Our corn n soybeans will be above average unless the great white harvester comes thru. We r 3 weeks away from harvesting anything at the earliest.
In our county there has been some rootworms and cutworms show up also.....so there will also be some who will be very disappointed with their yields as well.
