Subject: Question on 950 lb stocker heifers

Central North Carolina

I just took 11 heifers to a local graded sale. Turns out the gain over 2.5 lbs per day since January.

I have never had them gain the well in our summers before on grass. 1 was over 1000 llbs and was rejected as being old.

The calves averaged 430 in January when i bough them. The sale is tonight at 7pm

Should i try to make the case to the buyers that they are not "old" and take my purchase records with me. I talked to the grader and he thought they my be 2 years old which is way crazy.

What would you do?
